Sunday Sangha – 27th September 2026

Norman Blair

This session is led by Norman Blair.

Start Time: 11 am PDT (LA) / 2 pm EDT (NY) / 7 pm BST (London) / 8 pm CEST (Paris). 90-minute live session.

This week’s theme: Just Being You

A lessening of the should and the musts, the past and the future. Just being present as you are – through gentle movement, standing and sitting, we will explore paths that encourage presence. We will look at shapes that support your body and that help you to be here. To deeply understand these words from Dogen: “I realised clearly that my eyes are set horizontally and my nose vertically.”

This session is freely-offered, but dana/donations are invited to help us meet our substantial running costs and to support our teachers. To donate, please click here. We appreciate your generosity 🙏

Norman Blair

Norman began regularly practising yoga in 1993 and his first meditation retreat was December 2000. In October 2001, he started teaching yoga. Particularly inspirational teachers include Judith Hanson Lasater, Paul Grilley, Richard Freeman and Sarah Powers.

His first book – Brightening Our Inner Skies: yin and yoga – was published in 2016. In July 2025 he published a book of yin wisdom; his next book will hopefully be published in 2027 – Everything We Do Matters: poems and prose about yoga and life.

He have been actively involved in social justice campaigns since the early 1980s. He believes that it is crucial that we connect inward work with outward work – personal transformation in the service of societal transformation. As practitioners, we know that we have the capacity for positive change. We can be catalysts for change: we can look up, raise our aspirations, be less reactive and more creative.

Norman has a monthly newsletter – if you would like to receive it, please email him at yogawithnorman@gmail.com
